About Us

- The Journey to Housing Program is a not-for-profit organization helping the homeless families in our suburban communities. We assist homeless families in finding suitable housing and provide life skills training as they move toward self-sufficiency. The Journey to Housing Program is spiritually based and welcomes all in the name of God. We serve those in need regardless of race, creed or religious affiliation.
- What Journey to Housing Provides:
  
  Assistance in finding suitable, affordable housing
  
  Move-in costs
  
  Furniture and household items
  
  Rent subsidies for a prescribed period of time
  
  Weekly in-home case-management services and life-skills training
- Eligibility for the Journey to Housing programs
  
  Families must be willing to live in Western Wayne County.
  Cities served include: Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Wayne, Redord, Westland, Inkster, Livonia, Canton, Plymouth, Northville.
  At least one family member must be employed or have a source of income (e.g. SSD)
  All adults in the family must pass a criminal background check.
  All adults must participate in financial and social work programs.
